Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or its equivalent with the requisite percentage of marks and must hold at least one of the following:
- A two-year diploma in elementary education or education, or
- Four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), or
- You can get a B.Ed. degree and do a six-month bridge course in elementary education at the same time.
In addition, candidates must:
- Have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) that the Government of Goa recognises
- Have at least two years of teaching experience in recognised primary schools
Language Requirement:
- You must know Konkani.
- It would be good to know Marathi
Age Limit:
- Age limit: 45 years
- According to government laws, age relaxation applies to designated categories.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT-I) – for screening
- Test on a Computer (CBT-II)
- Demonstration in Class (10 points)
The final choice will be based on the scores from both the CBT-II and the class demonstration. In CBT, you don’t get points taken away for wrong answers. The minimum qualifying marks are different for UR and reserved groups. You have to pass the Konkani language test to be considered for merit.
